About me and my practice

Hi, I'm Nigel. I decided to become a counsellor quite late in life. I saw how counselling had helped a friend of mine, move from a difficult time in their life and had lost trust in their own judgement, to a place of self confidence and happiness. Seeing this change in a friend made me decide to train to become a counsellor.

I work with people from all walks of life and backgrounds, coming to me with a diverse range of problems. As a fully-qualified counsellor I am a member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Therapy (NCPS) and abide by their code of ethics.

Experience

I have experience of working with people presenting with a variety of issues including anxiety, bereavement, low self-esteem and life changing events such as illness, domestic abuse, caring commitments and loss. I am a registered member of the National Counselling Society.

I appreciate how important it is to find a counsellor that you can trust and connect with. Initial Consultation

I offer a 20 minute telephone conversation in order to discuss your situation and what you are looking for from counselling. This gives you a chance to ask any questions you might have about how counselling works etc.
If you wish to book a session

Fees

I charge £40 for an hour online and £45 face to face.

When I Work

I work Monday and Wednesday evenings and also have daytime slots on most days of the week.
